Carrie is a better anti-bullying message than 13 Reasons Why because she didn’t mail passive aggressive cassette tapes around to people who were tangentially involved she just psychically killed everyone who had ever hurt her and blew up half the town

cindyybabyy

You know Carrie is considered a horror movie right….

Things you should know when starting university

onlinecounsellingcollege

1. Don’t worry about making new friends. There will be so many people and opportunities.

2. There’s nothing wrong with feeling anxious and afraid. Everyone is new and will be feeling scared like you.

3. Don’t try to change yourself or act as if you’re someone different. You’re fine the way you are – so just be genuine and real.

4. It is normal to feel lonely and to miss the life you had. It’s part of taking risks, and being brave, and moving on.

5. You’ll wonder if you’ll fit, or find a place where you belong. Don;t worry this is normal. This new place will feel great.

6. Don’t only socialise, and go to everything you can. Make some space for being alone, and time for quiet solitude.

7. At the same time, make sure you force yourself to move outside your comfort zone, and try new things with others, and see what you enjoy.

Britney: For The Record (2008)

positivelydetectivecomics

My mom had TMZ on in the background today and they were all so ugly talking about, “Ooooh, you’re rich! Boo-hoo!” And normally, I might be on board with such comments, because a lot of famous and/or rich people are incredibly out of touch.

But Britney?

Britney has no access to her money. She’s not allowed to make her own decisions. She struggles with mental illness. There are other people calling the shots for nearly every aspect of her life. Financial abuse is real and it’s ugly.

I’m all for making fun of the rich and famous when they make dumbass comments that illustrate just how ignorant they are to the struggles of the underprivileged, but Britney is a victim of abuse. That doesn’t go away just because you’re a pop culture icon.
